Uncle
In the last moments of saying goodbye, tell them how much they have meant to you. List all the reasons you’re grateful for them. Its okay, even comforting, to let on you know the end is near. It’s also important to follow their lead if they say their ready to go, savor the moments they have left. In Pat’s last moments, you find that not uttering a word can speak volumes. Holding his hand as he holds yours back and gazing into his eyes communicates compassion, love and gratitude for a shared lifetime. With or without accompanying conversation, your presents and touch rank among the most eloquent signs of love. On the last day, you sing him a song and hug him tight in his hospital bed. Go to school and you get a text in class nine minutes into your English class. Your uncle has passed away. You hold it together and choose not to share it. A few sluggish sad days pass. You play Pandora and stare out the window. Every song that comes on seems meant for you. Like a gift from God or Pat perhaps. I guess there’s no right way to say goodbye. I honestly don’t know if you can ever fully say goodbye and feel it was good enough. But, we can do our best to love and show the ones they are deeply important to us.

Repentance leads to a need for God.
Ignorance of the presence God and rebellion my youth lead me to repentance. If anyone knew my before they would know I am very different.I know my story has a place in God's plan. I was probably always looking for him in the wrong place. My meeting with God is very specific. It happened on a night I was just broken by the lies and the hurt we where all inflicting on each other. I cried out to Him not yet knowing who he was.I wrote a poem about his whispers and how I know he was calling all this time.. Soon after I went through God's much needed discipline in my life. I remember the first introduction I had of Him was in the bible(The bible found on the bus) and it said that he knited me in my mothers womb and knew my every thought, before I think it. Then I knew I had nothing left to hide he has always known me. Psalms 19 and proverbs spoke to me about the evil in men and how to guard my heart and guide my life. Then after major training took place in my quite place King County Jail. I landed a friend in Shoreline Community Church, I found belonging. I found grace. I found Love. I found my Love Jesus and will never let him go....

Patrick Joseph McNulty
This cancer journey is hard for you...You are beginning to slip into depression. I am hear to pray for you. Your car broke down on several occasions I am hear to drive you. You are frustrated because of this lot that has been given. You curse the service worker out for no reason.I am hear for you. No matter how we feel we must do our best in-and with God and man. Today you began to tell me that Buddha and Jesus are a lot alike. I meant to bring you that book by Ravi Zacharias The Lotus and the Cross. You said something about the sea and how thats where dead go and as long as you believe in 'god' you will make it... I said well, don't know about that... Buddha may have been a good man,and maybe a prince but surly the not the son of God. I said goto God you have to confess that Jesus is lord and believe in your heart. You said to many people would be left if its like that.... I said the bible says that "and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord" (Philippians 2:11) I think God placed me here with you for a reason.
